Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize the size of a multistage compressor in decreasing a number of its parts, by housing in a casing a low stage compressing element aerodynamically compressing the gas, high stage compressing element voluminously compressing the gas and their driving unit.
CONSTITUTION: Refrigerant gas is compressed by the first stage turbo compressor 2 and sucked in the second stage screw compressor 6 through the gap of a driving motor 4, and then ejected from a discharge part after it is compressed and pressurized. The compressor in each stage therefore used efficiently in accordance with its service condition and can constitute a compact and semiclosed two stage compressor.
