Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out multistep position control of an actuator by providing a negative pressure cylinder, distributing cylinder and venting cylinder which are connected together in parallel and in series. CONSTITUTION:A distributing cylinder 11 supplies negative pressure to a double acting type negative pressure cylinder 1 and the no. 31 represents a venting cylinder to cause the negative pressure to release into the atmosphere. All the cylinders are connected one another through pipe lines 16, 17, 35, 36. The no.15 represents negative pressure connecting taps and the no.37 a negative pressure release tap. When a negative pressure source is connected to any one of the negative pressure connecting taps 15, negative pressure acts on the piston 5 of the negative cylinder 1 through the cylinder 11 having the opposite side opened to the atmosphere through the cylinder 31 so that the piston 5 moves together with the pistons 13, 33 until orifices of the negative pressure connecting taps are blocked by the pistons 13, 33, thereby stops the piston 5.
