PURPOSE:To utilize a quantity of heat in cooling water of an engine to a maximum limit for heating an intake manifold, by cooling a cylinder block of the engine with the cooling water and flowing the full amount of the cooling water into a water jacket of the intake manifold. CONSTITUTION:An intake manifold M is jointed to the upper side of a cylinder block 1 in an internal combustion engine E, and an outlet Jeo of a water jacket Je, formed in the cylinder block 1, is directly communicated to an inlet Jmi of a water jacket Jm, formed in the intake manifold M. While an inlet of the water jacket Je of the cylinder block 1 is communicated to the outlet of a radiator through a water pump and an outlet of the water jacket Jm of the intake manifold M is communicated to an inlet of the radiator, respectively. Then the internal combustion engine E is cooled by cooling water to increase temperature of the cooling water, and the intake manifold M is heated by the cooling water of high temperature, then a mixture, passing through a mixture passage in the intake manifold M, is promoted vaporization.
