Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a useful in-use/stand-by switching device by performing in-use/stand-by switching operation by using a diode for frequency multiplication. CONSTITUTION:Frequency multipliers 16 and 17 are each composed of an input matching circuit 18, a diode 19 for frequency multiplication, an output band-pass filter 20, and a bias circuit 21, and their bias voltage values are so set that the outputs of the multipliers are maximized. Said diode 19 for frequency multiplication, on the other hand, is supplied with a switching voltage through an in- use/stand-by changeover switch 26, a by-pass capacitor 24, and a resistance 22. Therefore, if an in-use system has a fault, the diode in the multiplier 16 is turned on to perform switching to a stand-by system.
