Abstract

PURPOSE: An insulation paint for a magnet wire, formig an insulation coat with excellent wear resistance without deterioration is adhesion between wet-on-wet coats which is prepared by compounding a paint composition with a specified fluorine- contg. carboxylic acid (deriv.).
CONSTITUTION: A paint composition (e.g., a polyester or polyurethane-base composition) contg. a resin contg. a functional group, (e.g., a hydroxy or amino gp.) reactive with a carboxyl gp. is compounded with 0.01W15wt% based on the solid in the paint, fluorine-contg. carboxylic acid (deriv.) of the formula (whrerin n is 4W6; x is 0W6; y is 1W7; x+y=7).
EFFECT: The fluorine-contg. carboxylic acid (deriv.) can be reacted with and bonded to the resin in the paint through a carboxyl group and prevented from exuding to the coat surface in excess.
