Abstract

A terminal assembly including a drawn, metallic, closed, polygonal- walled cup 10 having a flanged head 14 at its open end, and a screw 12 preferably coated with a solder rejecting material. The screw is harder than the cup, and is preassembled thereto by positioning at least two thread helices within the cup. The subassembly is then inserted into a complementary polygonal aperture in a printed circuit board which can be dip-soldered to establish connection between the cup and circuitry on the board without impairment to the function of the screw and without wicking of solder into the cup. <IMAGE>
