Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a vivid fixed image in a high speed without firing, by using a toner containing a resin of a high absorptivity of high frequency energy and prescirbed wt% or less carbon black and heating the toner with a high frequency by a high field intensity higher than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The mixture consisting of a polystyrene resin (or an epoxy resin) and <=10 wt% carbon black is kneaded and crushed and classfied to obtain a toner having an average grain size of about 12mum, and this toner is used to form an unfixed image in the normal transfer electrophotographic method. This image is fixed with >=500V/cm field intensity by the high frequency heating method. Thus, a vivid fixed image is obtained in a high speed without scorching and burning the paper regardless of the high field intensity.
