Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain an installation height conforming to regulations by a method wherein a head lamp can be freely changed over between the first lighting position where it is erected against the surrounding of the body front and the second lighting position for stocking, in a vehicle in which the surrounding of the body front is lowered. CONSTITUTION:Left and right side plates at the tip of a bonnet 2a are formed of an upper face plate 2b of the head lamp 1 in the stocked condition. In the stocked condition of the lamp 1, a lighting surface 1a of the lamp 1 forms a part of the surrounding 2 of the body front, is detachably supported by a pair of parallel links 4, 4 provided at the body 3 and is moved skewly upwards by a crank pin 6 interlocked with a motor 5. An erectable garnish 8 is provided at the body 3 below the lamp 1, and when the lamp 1 is erected, the garnish 8 is erected and is rotated to the lighting surface 1a position. Accordingly, the head lamp becomes a passing light having little resistance against running in the daytime and it can emit light at the installation height conforming to the regulation at night.
