Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the revolution adjustment free from maintenance by moving the governor pattern so as to adjust the number of idle revolutions to the object number of revolutions in response to the error between the object number of idle revolutions based on running conditions of an engine and the actual number of revolutions. CONSTITUTION:The fuel is fed into a fuel injection pump 1 from a fuel tank 2 through a feed pump 3. Sensor signals for detecting the running conditions of a Diesel engine and idle up request signals are fed into a fuel injection pump control device 4 containing a microcomputer in it. Fuel injection command signals Va calculated in response to the running conditions are fed from the control device 4 into an actuator 5 which directly controls the amount of fuel injection of the injection pump 1, thus controlling the amount of fuel injection. Next, the fuel is injected from the injection pump 1 through injectors 6. The stable points for the number of idle revolutions of the Diesel engine are set at the intersections N1, N2, N3 of three governor patterns and an engine load curve.
