Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the head in the title wherein the uniform ink jet characteristic is obtained for every ink jet head, by removing a part of an electrode formed in a piezoelectric element and adjusting the exciting efficiency of the ink by a piezoelectric vibrator. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 9 such as Nd-YAG laser is irradiated on the part of one electrode 8a of the piezoelectric vibrator 4 which is fixed to a vibrating plate 5, in a pulse shape and the like. Then the electrode material is blown away and removed. For example, the material to be machined is rotated on a central axis, and the laser light 9 is irradiated. When the spot position of the light is moved from the edge to the center, the remaining electrode pattern in a concentric shape is obtained. The vibrator 4, wherein the part of the electrode 8a is removed in this way, is attached to a main body 1 of the head. The exciting voltage is applied to the vibrator 4 through an exciting circuit 12. Thus the vibrator 4 is vibrated, the vibration is transmitted to the ink in a liquid chamber 2 through the vibrating plate 5, and the ink drops 13 is flown.
