Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid a noise or a distortion, by transmitting a signal to a rotary system of a VTR by use of a pulse code. CONSTITUTION:A video signal which has been read by a head 1 is changed to a PCM signal by a sampling circuit 2, a quantizing circuit 3 and an encoding circuit 4. This PCM signal is made to pass a rotary transformer 5, is demodulated by a D/A converter 6, and after that, it is made to pass through a record reproducing circuit 7 and is outputted to an output terminal 8, as a video signal. When recording, a video signal from a terminal 9 is signal-converted by a video signal circuit 10, and after that, it is changed to a PCM signal by a sampling circuit 2', a quantizing circuit 3' and an encoding circuit 4', and is recorded by the head 1 after making it pass through a D/A converting circuit 6' through the rotary transformer 5. In this way, it is possible to avoid an increase of a noise or a distortion of a signal which is made to pass a rotary system.
