Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the bonding strength of a commutator device by forming a slot at the axial end face of the riser of a commutator for connecting a commutator segment to an armature coil, thereby reducing a thermal diffusion when the coil is soldered. CONSTITUTION:When armature coil ends 9, 10 are bonded by soldering to a riser 13 formed at a commutator segment 3, an annular slot 14 is formed on the axial end face of the segment 3 at the position corresponding to the lower part of the riser 13. In this manner, a thermal diffusion to the side of the segment 3 is reduced when the armature coil end is soldered to the riser 13, thereby increasing the aboding strength of the device.
