Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent lifting of an insert nut by giving a resistance to the flow of a melt to the perimeter of the seat face of the nut while the nut is pressed from above with a pressure of the melt which is flowing in large amount via a cavity space of a conical rib. CONSTITUTION:While a thermoplastic resin is melted and molded by injection, it flows through a plate-shaped cavity 3 from a spool 1. But the flow is reduced blocked by a resistance flow area 8 and reaches the perimeter of the seat face of the insert nut bypassing in the direction A. The melted resin flows massively and rapidly in the direction B through a cavity space 9 of a conical rib, immediately reaching a space 7 of a coated layer and wrapping the insert nut 5. When the component of force lifting the insert nut 5 is represented by PU while the component of force pressed it down is done by PD, the relation between the two elements is always PD>PU. Therefore, the insert nut 5 is pressed on the top of the die 2 thereby preventing possible lifting of the nut 5.
