Abstract
PURPOSE:To make both a video and a voice carrier frequency and their frequency difference extremely stable, by composing a video carrier oscillator and an FM modulator for an audio signal both of surface acoustic wave oscillators made of the same material. CONSTITUTION:A video and an audio signal are inputted to input terminals 11 and 12. Then, the video signal is applied to an AM modulator 15, where AM modulation is imposed upon a video carrier from a video carrier oscillator 13. The oscillator 13 is constituted by a surface acoustic wave oscillator which uses a surface acoustic wave element as a resonator. The audio signal, on the other h and, is applied to an FM modulator 14, which, for example, when a video carrier frequency is fc, converts the audio signal into an FM modulated signal having a carrier frequency fc+4.5MHz. This oscillator 14 is constituted by a surface acoustic wave oscillator which includes a surface acousticwave element using a piezoelectric substrate made of the same material with said surface acoustic wave element constituting the oscillator or 13. Thus, the modulates signal of the video signal and that of the audio signal obtained by the modulator 15 are added linearly by an adder 16, whose output is led to an output terminal 17.
