Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic wave level meter without having error caused by variation of temperature in an ultrasonic wave propagation path by setting subreceiver to transmit and receive the ultrasonic wave signal under the same circumstance as that of the main receiver which receives the reflected wave and transmits the ultrasonic wave signal. CONSTITUTION:Output of a synchronizing circuit 9 which generates the starting signal S by synchronizing with the specified phase of a voltage control oscillator 12 is transmitted to a preset counter 10, main transmission circuit 5, subtransmission circuit 7 and gate circuit 13. As to voltage oscillator 12, output of a subtransmission circuit 7 is controlled by the comparison output of the signal passed through subtransmitters/receivers 3 and 4 and a subreception circuit 8 located under the same condition as main transmitter/receiver 1 and 2 and N-set counter 10 which counts frequency signal F of the voltage control oscillator. If a counter 14 is made to count the time while the controlled frequency F is reflected on the liquid level by the injected ultrasonic wave, is received by the main receiver 2 and the gate 13 is closed by the output of the main reception circuit 6, the level of liquid can be measured without having relation with the variation of temperature.
