Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly detect a position of a leakage point, by detecting a leakage sound caused by water leakage, by use of 2 transducers, and deriving a time difference of the leakage sound transmitted to each transducer. CONSTITUTION:Transducers 1, 2 are placed at an interval of a distance L so as to place a water leakage point F between them, and a leakage sound is detected. For intance, when an unknown distance between the transducer 2 and the point F, and a transmission speed of a sound are denoted as X and V, respectively, a transfer time of a sound to the transducers 1, 2 becomes (L-X)/V and X/V, a difference of said transfer time becomes Td=(L-2X)/V, and by this expression, distance X=(L-VXTd)/2 is obtained. Accordingly, when a difference Td of a transfer time is measured by a prescribed electric circuit, a distance of a water leakage point X can be derived exactly from the transfer speed V of a sound and the distance L.
