Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a powdered fish capable of giving natural overall nutriments to children in the growth period easily, and usable as a raw material for seasoning or processed food, by applying heat and hot air to a small-sized fish, steaming the fish, sterilizing and drying the fish, and pulverizing the dried fish.
CONSTITUTION: A small-sized fish e.g. a small fish such as a sardine, horse mackerel or mackerel, or young fish having a body length ≤ about 30cm is washed with water, and radiant heat by a heater and hot air at about the same temperature are applied thereto to heat the fish at 100W200°C not to scorch too much. The heated raw small-sized fish is roughly crushed, redried, and then pulverized to give the aimed powdered fish having a particle diameter ≤0.3mm. The resultant powdered fish is then contained in a container, sealed and made into a product. Overall nutriments necessary for the childhood, boyhood to the youth are easily taken naturally from the powdered fish, which has a good influence on the future eating habits or promotion of health or growth of children.
