Abstract
PURPOSE:To high accurately detect fuel injection timing, by providing an injection timing sensor to a distributor type fuel injection pump and providing a top dead center censor, in which top dead center timing of a crankshaft in an internal combustion engine is detected. CONSTITUTION:An injection timing detector device 1 comprises a top dead center sensor 2, detecting top dead center timing of an internal combustion engine, and injection timing sensor 3, detecting injection timing of a fuel injection pump 4. The sensor 3 consists of an electromagnetic pick-up coil 6, provided at the side of a roller holder 5 of the fuel injection pump 4, and a pawl 9, provided at the side of a cam disc 8. Since the ignition timing is detected on the basis of action of the pawl 9 approximating to and separating from the coil 6, a vibration waveform is never output from the coil 6, and a very good pulse waveform can be obtained.
