Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable actuating of a pulsimeter by one-hand operation, by a method wherein a back cover of a wrist watch is caused to act as one electrode, and a mode change-over switch for switching the pulsimeter is caused to work as the other electrode to detect an electrocardiographic potenial. CONSTITUTION:If, in order to measure the number of pulses, a second electrode 13 is pressed by a finger of the other hand, a conductive rubber 13a, having elasticity, bends and depresses a plastic frame 13c, and thereby a mode change- over switch 19, in which a toroidal conductive rubber 19a and a toroidal metal plate 19b in mode change-over switch 19 are brought into press contact with each other, is brought to a continuity condition, which results in feeding a power source to a power source terminal of a pulse counting circuit. With this, an electrocardiographic potential signal (EDG). induced between two hands, is generated between a first electrode 12 of a back cover 11 and a second electrode 13. The electrodrocardiographic potential (ECG) signal is displayed as the number of pulses per unit time in a display 20.
