Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect explosion of a gas to be tested by releasing to the outside open space raised pressure after a gas to be tested is exploded in a reaction vessel and detecting the pressure in said vessel. CONSTITUTION:After a vacuum pump 11 is started for operation, its cocks 9 and 10 are opened to make inside of a reaction vessel 1 vacuum. Next the cock 9 is opened and a certain amount of a gas to be tested is put into the reaction vessel 1 from a sample bin 13. Next, the cocks 7 and 9 are closed and the cock 10 is opened to remove the gas to be tested that is in the pipe to the cock 7. Next, the cocks 7 and 8 are opened to introduce air up to the cock 7. In this state the cock 7 is opened to introduce air into a reaction vessel 1. When the air is brought to the atmospheric pressure, the cocks 7 and 8 are closed. The gas mixture in the reaction vessel 1 is electrically ignited after the pressure is made uniform by operating a stirrer 5. When the pressure in the reaction vessel 1 is raised over a certain value by the explosion of the gas mixture, a pressure release device 2 is opened to reduce the pressure inside of the reaction vessel 1 and the pressure in this state is detected with a pressure detecting element 3 to judge the explosion state.
