Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the protection of a battery with a lead plate, as well as the work efficiency of fixing the lead plate to the battery, by providing a protective case for the battery with both a fixing part of the battery, and a fixing part of the lead plate. CONSTITUTION:A lead plate 2 is fixed to either one or both of the electrodes of a battery 1 by spot welding, thereby the reliability in electrical conductivity or the like being obtained. Here, the battery 1 to which the lead plate 2 is fixed is stored in a protective case 4, which serves as a battery storage case both for the prevention of the deformation of the lead plate 2 and for the after-sale service. The case 4 is provided with a circular concave part 4a in which the battery 1 is stored, as well as a dowel 4c which is fitted into a hole 2a of the lead plate 2. The battery 1 is located and set in the concave part 4a of the case 4, before the dowel 4c is fitted into the hole 2a to which an insulating sheet 3 is stuck with an adhesive. After that, the lead plate 2 and the battery 1 are subjected to spot welding.
