Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a small-capacity insulated trolley line for tensile laying, in which the use of a current collecting material of high quality is enabled, by coating a band-shaped conductor and tension-resisting wires parallel with the conductor, with an insulator cover integrally shaped by extrusion and having an opening on the wide side of the conductor. CONSTITUTION:Tension-resisting wires 20 such as a wire cable and a band- shaped conductor 10 such as copper are introduced into an extruder as a longitudinal gap is maintained between the conductor and the wires, so that they are integrally coated with an insulator cover 30 of hard vinyl chloride or the like. At that time, an opening 31 is made on one wide side of the conductor 10 and the tension-resisting wires 20 are embedded in the insulator cover 30 in a prescribed position over the other wide side 12 of the conductor. The conductor and the wires 20 are electrically insulated from each other and coupled to each other by the insulator cover 30. Continuous longitudinal V-grooves 32 are provided on the insulator cover 30 near the side edges of the conductor 10 to facilitate its exposure.
