Abstract
PURPOSE: To localize deposition of coke formed during cooling of a cracked heavy oil gas on a specified place and to cut and remove the coke deposition using no purging gas and causing no obstruction to operation, by raising a conical rotary edge provided at the bottom at a proper time.
CONSTITUTION: At the bottom of an inner cylinder 1, a cracked gas introduction zone 2 having a conical horny opening is constituted. Coke 8 is deposited exclusively on the surface of the introduction zone 2 by providing the inner cylinder 1 at the top of a cooling chamber 3, and keeping a neck portion 4 of the introduction zone 2 at a temp. ≥600°C and a periphery 5 at a temp. ≤300°C. At the bottom of the cooling chamber 3, an oil sump 6 is provided, in which a conical cutting edge 7 engaging with the introduction zone 2 is placed. The purpose operation is effected by raising the cutting edge 7 and removing the coke by rotary cutting without using any purging gas. A cooling oil for a wet wall is introduced via an inlet 10 and a cooling oil for washing the cutting edge is introduced via a washing oil atomization zone 9. The both oil are discharged together with a coke lump via an oil outlet 11.
