Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the monitoring accuracy constant even if the rotating speed of a rotary electric machine varies by altering the sampling frequency in response to the rotating speed so that the number of samplings per one period of an axial vibration signal waveform becomes equal and sampling in synchronism with the rotating period. CONSTITUTION:An axial vibration signal waveform vt which is obtained from an axial vibration detector mounted on a rotational shaft is sampled, and the frequency is analyzed by a digital signal processing. In this case, the number of sampling per one period of a vibration signal waveform is predetermined, and the sampling frequency per each waveform is determined by calculating the sampling number and the rotating speed of a rotational shaft. Further, the sampling frequency is synchronized with the rotating period of the rotational shaft so that the phase relationship between the waveform vt and the sampling frequency becomes equal even in any times of the period Ta to be analyzed. The operating state of the rotary electric machine can be monitored in accordance with the analyzed result.
