Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the occupying area of a folded pantograph on the roof of a vehicle body by rotating components of the frame for raising and lowering a current collector head in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Lower frames 42, 43 and 42', 43' are respectively rotated at an equal angle around main shafts 40, 41 as centers by the operation of a connecting rod 54 which is rotatably connected to levers 52, 53 secured to the shafts 40, 41 which rotate by spring force or pneumatic force at both ends in opposite direction to each other. Upper frames 44, 45 and 44', 45' are respectively rotated also at an equal angle around main shafts 46, 47 as centers by the operation of a connecting rod 57 which is rotatably connected to levers 55, 56 secured to shafts 48, 49 at both ends. Accordingly, supporting rods 50, 51 which are respectively secured to the shafts 48, 49 elevationally move perpendicularly to the travelling direction.
