Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the operation of an AFC circuit and a muting circuit with one switch only, by inserting a switch circuit including an active element between an interstation muting circuit and a voice amplifying circuit and interlocking said circuit with the AFC circuit electrically. CONSTITUTION:An electronic switch consisting of a transistor (TR)9, and resistors 10, 11, is inserted between an interstation muting circuit 4 and a voice amplifying circuit 3 to achieve electrical interlock with an AFC circuit. When an AFC switch 7 is closed, the output of an operational amplifier 12 is zero, the TR13 is saturated and the AFC voltage of a high frequency amplifying circuit of an electronic tuner 1 is clamped at a voltage V1, and the AFC loop is interrupted. The TR9 is also saturated via the resistor 10, and the output of the muting circuit 4 is supplied to the voice amplifier circuit 3 for muting. When the AFC7 is turned off, the operational amplifier 12 is inoperative, the output voltage is at V2, and the TRs 13, 9 are inoperative. Thus, the muting circuit can also be operated at the same time by the operation of the AFC switch 7 only.
