Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the solid defoaming agent which is good in dispersibility and excellent in rapid acting property and long lasting property as well as free from a danger of secondary public nuisance and extremely simple in handling property by effecting adsorption of a silicone oil by a carbonate such as sodium carbonate or the like. CONSTITUTION:At first, about 1-60wt%, based on the tatal amount, of a silicone oil and abount 79-20wt%, based on the total amount, of a carbonate such as sodium carbonate or the like as an adsorbent are stirred and mixed in a mixing container. After mixing, abount 79-20wt%, based on the total amount, of a curing agent such as sodium silicate or the like is thrown into said container and, after sirring and mixing, the obtained mixture is taken out of the container. The obtained cured substance is ground to an appropriate size to be formed into a lump like shape or the resulting lump like substance is finely divided to be formed into a powder or, further, this powder is molded into a granular or other form to obtain a product. As the curing agent, other than silicate, gelatine or a cellulose derivative such as CMC or the like are used.
