Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the formation of a loop and to eliminate the twisting of a core wire in spite of the loop formation to reduce the transmission loss of an optical cable, by forming the extra length of the core wire of the optical fiber into a loop before connecting the core wire. CONSTITUTION:Core wires 2A and 2B of optical cables are cut to a prescribed length respectively, and extra lengths 4A and 4B are turned in the prescribed times into a loop. This loop can be formed freely since the end parts of the lengths 4A and 4B are free. Thus the wires 2A and 2B have no twisting. The tips of the wires 2A and 2B are connected together by means of a connector 5. The loops of the lengths 4A and 4B are set together to form a larger loop 4C. The loop 4C is stored and fixed in a protecting case.
