Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable automatic removal of deposit without interruption of measurement by applying vibration on a projection into which a gas to be measured is taken. CONSTITUTION:A densitometer 15 made of an inner cylinder 17 or the like provided with an opening 21 is supported on a support cylinder 13 projected into a furnace from a furnace wall 11 to take in a furnace gas to be measured via a mesh filter 33. A vibration generator 31 is provided on the inner wall of the cylinder 13 to transmit mechanical vibration to the cylinder 13. The vibration applied to the inner cylinder 17 prevents the accumulation of dust on the outer cylinder 13 projected into the furnace, thereby automatic removal of deposit without interruption of the measurement.
