Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the curve surfaces with enough large radius of curvature at both sides of the root of each vane in order to enhance the strength of the vanes and increase the dimensional accuracy of the vanes by a method wherein an impeller equipped with a shroud and vanes for compressor use or the like is pressure die cast and, after that, the correction of the vanes at the required part is performed. CONSTITUTION:The impeller is pressure die cast in the form die-castable and, after that, each vane is corrected to the position of a vane 2' as indicated with a dash-and-two dot line by pulling up the required part of the vane 2. A side surface A and its surface of the shroud are shrinked from the state jointed with a concave surface 10A to the state jointed with a concave surface 20A. On the other hand, a side surface B and its surface of the shroud are expanded from the depressed state jointed with a concave surface 10B to the state jointed with a concave surface 20B. In such a manner as described above, the curved surfaces 20A and 20B with enough large radius of curvature are respectively formed at each side of the root of each vane.
