Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled polypropylene, in high efficiency, with a small amount of catalyst, by polymerizing propylene, etc. using a catalyst system composed of an organic aluminum compound and a co-pulverized product of a titanium compound and a quinacridone compound.
CONSTITUTION: The objective polypropylene is prepared by polymerizing propylene or propylene and other α-olefins (e.g. ethylene) at 20W200°C under normal pressure W200 atm using a catalyst system composed of (A) one or more supported catalysts obtained by co-pulverizing titanium trichloride (composition) or a titanium compound and a quinacridone compound of formulaIWV (R is H, alkyl, aromatic group, halogen, etc.; n is 0W2; M is univalent metal; M' is M or H; M" is bivalent metal), and bonding or supporting the composition with a solid carrier (e.g. a magnesium compound) before or after the co-pulverization, and (B) an organic aluminum compound (e.g. triethyl aluminum compound). The yield of the polymer is 500W10,000g per 1g of the supported catalyst.
