Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately measure the inside force over the entire range of a record disc, by providing stress sensing elements at the inside of a head shell. CONSTITUTION:Stress sensing elements 3a and 3b which detect a horizontal force of an oscillating system part 4 of a cartridge are provided at the inside of a head shell 1. The elements 3a and 3b form a bridge circuit 5 with resistors R1 and R2. If an inside force is generated in the oscillation system part 4, a plate spring 2 is displaced in accordance with said force and a strain is caused in the stress sensing elements 3a and 3b. Thus, a voltage proportional to the inside force is outputted from the bridge circuit 5, this is applied to a display device 6 and the amount of the inside force is displayed. Thus, the amount of the inside force can be measured accurately even at any position on a record disc.
