CONSTITUTION:When a drawing 1 is equipped around a drum 2, a microprocessor 22 operates to send a command to a command status register 19 through a selector 20, and under the command, an X-directional motor 11 and an Y-directional motor 3 are driven through a control circuit 16, and an x-directional driving circuit 17 and an y-directional driving circuit 18, thereby setting an input head 7 at each position in a scanning area. When an image in the scanning area is inputted, the microprocessor 22 recognizes the grating point by using the information and, on the basis of the information on the grating point position, estimates positions of grating points in the whole area.
