Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a heat-resistant paint having improved mechanical strength and resistance to hydrolysis, consisting of a polyborosiloxane resin, a heat- resistant synthetic resin contg. a nitrogen atom-contg. heterocyclic ring, an inorg. filler and an org. solvent.
CONSTITUTION: A polyborosiloxane resin, a heat-resistant synthetic resin contg. a nitrogen atom-contg. heterocyclic ring in the molecule and an inorg. filler are dissolved or dispersed in an org. solvent. Examples of said heat-resistant synthetic resins are imide ring-contg. resins such as polyimides and polyamide-imides and imidazopyrrolone ring-contg. resins such as polyimidazopyrrolone. Pref. said heat-resistant synthetic resin is used in an amount of 5W300pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. polyborosiloxane. Pref. said inorg. filler is used in an amount of 5W200pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the combined amount of said polyborosiloxane resin and said heat-resistant resin. When further a silicone resin is blended with said compsn., the silicone resin exhibit an effect of reducing the extent of heat generation, because inorg. SiO2 is formed by heat decomposition.
