Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform alignment work without using a servo motor or the like, in the above described device of automatic assembly, by adjusting the displacement of a mounted member with a compliance, variably controlling a value of the compliance and adjusting the displacement for a fitting part. CONSTITUTION:A fixing block 2, rolling unit 7 and intermediate rolling unit 27 in an alignment device are piled by interposing respective ball bearings 34, 35, and integrally formed by extensibly mounting springs 14 between a spring hook stopper member 16, provided in the fixing block 2, and a spring hook stopper screw 22, mounted to the rolling unit 7. The rolling unit 7 is arranged in a state of the free displacement by a horizontal movement mechanism 39 horizontally at a right angle with a shaft core P of the device, while in a state of the free displacement by a turning mechanism 39 to the turning direction about the center of each spherical surfaces 19, 29 as a center. In this way, even if the shaft core of a fitting hole 4 in a mounting member 3 is located in angular and lateral misalignment for the shaft core of a shaft member 5 in a holder 6, each misalignment is corrected, and work of alignment can be promptly performed.
