PURPOSE:To obtain a zero cross synchronizing signal having a small shift of phase with a simple constitution of circuit, by giving the single-phase full wave rectification to the input AC voltage, supplying the rectified voltage to a filter circuit and supplying the output of the filter circuit to a voltage comparator. CONSTITUTION:A single-phase full wave rectifying circuit 2 supplies the AC voltage Vin and delivers the full wave rectified voltage VR. A BPF3 supplies the voltage VR and delivers the AC voltage Vf having a frequency twice as high as the basic frequency of the voltage Vin. This output waveform is identical with a waveform in which the zero cross point of one side is substantially coincident with that of the basic wave of the voltage Vin. Thus a zero cross period pulse signal Vout which has a rise synchronously with the zero cross point of the basic wave of the voltage Vin with about 50% duty ratio is obtained by supplying the voltage Vf to the other terminal of a voltage comparator 4 having the reference voltage of OV. As a result, a phase compensating circuit is eliminated.
