Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the whole structure of a clock smaller and thinner by arranging a minute indication wheel and a hour indication wheel in parallel in such a manner as to rotate about the vertical axis and a minute switching wheel and a hour switching wheel of an alarm mechanism above these indication wheels. CONSTITUTION:In this alarm clock, a minute indication wheel 3 and a hour indication wheel 5 of a movement are arranged in parallel in such a manner as to rotate about the vertical axis and a minute switching wheel 56 and a hour switching wheel 57 of an alarm mechanism above these wheels 3 and 5. This can reduce the distance between the minute switching wheel 56 and the minute indication wheel 3 as driving source thereof and the hour switching wheel 58 and the hour indication wheel 5 as driving source thereof. Therefore, transmission of the rotation can be performed with a simple gear mechanism as compared with the case where it is done to a remote position. This also makes the whole structure of a watch smaller and thinner.
