PURPOSE:To provide larger freedom in the design of an operating member of a steering lock by operating a control tumbler of a key cylinder via a sleeve which slides on the key cylinder surface. CONSTITUTION:A manual operating member 28 which rotates around a shaft 27 by knob 30 moves a sleeve 4 in the direction of ''Y'', said sleeve 4 having a stopper 4b formed thereon and engaging with a tumbler 7 of a key cylinder 3. By moving the sleeve 4 with the manual operating member 28 for free rotation of the key cylinder 3 the restriction for attaching angle or position of the manual operating member 28 is removed to obtain a steering lock with good operatability.
