Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Disazo compounds of formulaIwherein Y is nitro, cyano, a 1W4C alkoxycarbonyl; X is H, methyl, ethyl, a 1W4C alkoxy-carbonylmethyl with the proviso that when Y is nitro, X is H, metheyl, ethyl, a 1W4C alkoxycarbonylmethyl, and when Y is cyano, a 1W4C alkoxycarbonyl, X is a 1W4C alkoxycarbonylmethyl; A, B, C are each H, Cl, Br, nitro, cyano; D, E are each H, a 1W4C alkoxy; R1, R2 are each H, a 1W4C alkyl, cyanoethyl, hydroxy (1W4C)alkyl.
USE: Disazo dyes which dye or print polyester fibers purple, blue or green.
PREPARATION: An arom. amine of formula II is diazotized and then coupled with an aminothiophene of formula III. The resulting aminoazo compd. of formula IV is diazotized and then coupled with an aniline derivative of formula V.
