Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic resin capable of forming moldings excellent in appearance, impact resistance, weather resistance, etc., by emulsion-polymerizing a vinyl monomer in the presence of a graft polymer rubber having a specified composition.
CONSTITUTION: A monomer mixture is formed by mixing 0.7W10wt% polyallyl compound with 60W99.3wt% acrylate ester containing 1W13C alkyl and 0W 30wt% vinyl compound copolymerizable with the arcylate ester. Then, 95W 60pts.wt. this monomer mixture is emulsion-polymerized in the presence of 5W 40pts.wt. diene polymer to obtain a graft polymer rubber. Next, the titled thermoplastic resin is prepared by emulsion-polymerizing 0W100wt% aromatic vinyl compound with 0W100wt% methacrylate ester and 0W40wt% vinyl cyanide compound (total of these monomers is 100wt%) in the presence of 5W50pts.wt. above-produced polymer rubber.
