CONSTITUTION:When rotation of a magnetic disk has started, leading-in of external air is cut off by a changeover valve 1 as indicated with an arrow of a broken line, the inside air of a shroud 3 is fed into a filter 4 by a blower 2, dust is removed, and the air is made to circulate along the circumference of the magnetic disk 5 and a positioner 6. The air which has circulated to some extent in the inside of the shroud 3 rises in temperature by heat generated from the magnetic disk 5, the air and the positioner 6, a temperature difference is reduced, it is possible to prevent a position shift of a floating head generated by a thermal expansion difference. When the magnetic disk reaches a steady temperature, the changeover valve 1 operates, the external air is taken in through a suction port 8 as indicated with an arrow of a full line, is made to circulate in the inside, and is exhausted through an exhaust port 7. In this way, the position shift of the floating head is prevented.
