Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate an error in time adjustment due to the influence of a backlash when performing the time adjustment by reversing a pulse motor, by reversing the pulse motor beyond desired time, and then automatically advancing a hand to the desired time. CONSTITUTION:A time reference singal from a quartz oscillating circuit 3 is processed by frequency division 4 and pulses with 1/20Hz are inputted to a driving circuit 9 through a control circuit 6 and a backlash correcting circuit 7, driving a pulse motor 9. When a time correction mode is set by operating an external operation member 5 and a reversing signal for the pulse motor 9 is generated, a back correcting circuit 7 generates one pulse for reverse rotation, one pulse for normal rotation, and a backlash correction signal if a next reversing pulse is not inputted for a certain time after a feed pulse is inputted; and the driving circuit 8 drives the pulse motor 9 to correct the influence of a backlash by a wheel train 10, thus stopping hands 11 at normal positions.
