Abstract
PURPOSE:A composition useful as a tire tread, having improved impact resilience, heat generation resistance, and wear resistance, comprising a branched random block copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monovinyl aromatic compound with a conjugated diene in the presence of a catalyst of an organolithium compound. CONSTITUTION:A branched random block copolymer shown by the formulaIor II (n is integer >=2) obtained by copolymerizing a monovinyl aromatic compound with a conjugated diene in the presence of a catalyst of an organolithium compound, comprising >=20wt% branched component shown by the formula III or IV and 10-35wt% monovinyl aromatic compound, wherein A is a random copolymer block consisting of the monomvinyl aromatic compound and the conjugated diene and has a high content of monovinyl aromatic compound (higher than that of the branched random block copolymer and <=twice the content) and B is a conjugated diene polymer block or a random copolymer block consisting of the monovinyl aromatic compound and the conjugated diene and has no content of the vinyl aromatic compound at all or a low content (lower than the content of A and <=30wt%), is blended with a processed oil for rubber and carbon black in such a way that the difference of the content of A and B is >=5wt% and the amounts of A and B are in the range of 30-80wt% and 70-20wt% respectively.
