Abstract

PURPOSE: A prepreg that is made by laminating a specific reinforcing fiber sheet onto a specific prepreg composed of reinforcing fiber sheet in almost perpendicular direction, thus showing increased resistance to tube collapse.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing fiber sheet arranged in parallel in one direction is impregnated with a resin to form a prepreg. The resultant prepreg containing 5W40g/m2 is laminated with the same or different kind of prepreg (such as carbon fiber) at a right angle to give the objective prepreg.
EFFECT: The weight of the resultant pipes can be reduced.
USE: The resultant prepreg is made into rods or tubes by the sheet wrapping method and the product is used as a fishing rod or other products.
