CONSTITUTION:A light reflecting film 10 is formed on the inner or outer surface of the wall of a flexible pipelike tubular body made of transparent plastic material or the like, and converging lenses 11, 12 are attached to both ends of the tubular body as required to form a light guide tube 9. In a device in which light emitted from the projector 1 is received in the photodetector 2 and when the light is intercepted by a bracket 4 attached to the work 3, the work 3 is controlled with the signal, said light guide tube 9 is set so as to avoid light shielding due to the member 5 supporting the work 3, and it is utilized as a light guide tube for operating the device with optical signals independently of the structure of the device.
