Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the reproduction of a complete still picture, by repeatedly recording a video signal during one revolution and recording audio signals in a prescribed order of arrangement through splitting at one field period. CONSTITUTION:Video signals of the same field are repetitively recorded for one revolution equal to a plurality of fields, and split audio signals obtained through audio signals by splitting them at a field period of the reproduced video signal are sequentially arranged and recorded on a recording track of the video signal in accordance with the scanning locus of a pickup reproducing element at normal reproduction forcing track change one of more at two revolutions. Thus, complete still picture reproduction can be obtained and video and audio signals can be reproduced without hindrance even at normal reproduction.
