A switch 10a is connected to a switch 10b so that the voltage of a power source 11 is applied to a heater of each element normally and both switches are switched so that the voltage of each power source 11, 12 is applied to each heater at a constant period for a short time by making the phases different mutually. Detection of the gas is displayed on a display device 3 by selecting a point of time exclusive of noise generating time accompanied by the impression of high voltage on the switches 10a, 10b by a switch 23.
