Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the zero-point adjustment for the detector output signal by providing the plus/minus DC power sources at one end of the detector output along with the variable resistor connected in parallel to the DC power sources and then varying the resistance value of the variable resistor.
CONSTITUTION: In the operating device for the heat conductivity detector (TCD) of the gas chromatograph, the output signal of TCD6 is attenuated by attenuator 7 and then put into recorder 8. Plus and minus DC power sources 9 and 10 are provided at one end of the output, at the same time installing coarse and dense variohms 13 and 14 in parallel to sources 9 and 10. Then variohms 13 and 14 are varied to change the plus and minus scales of sources 9 and 10. As a result, the zero-point is shifted, thus ensuring the adjustment for the zero-point without breaking the balanced state of filament 5.
