Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable stable measurement with good accurary, by detecting the turn-off of a tested thyristor with the change in layer high voltage induced between the gate and the cathode.
CONSTITUTION: When a tested thyristor 1 is ON-state, the gate voltage induced between the gate and the cathode is compared with the reference voltage from a reference voltage power supply 4 at a comparator 40. When the thyristor 1 turns off, the output of the comparator 40 is inverted and a signal is delivered to a control circuit 20. The input impedance of the voltage comparator 40 is made sufficently greater than that of a gate impedance element 3.
