Abstract

PURPOSE: To mount a coil spring effectively in a certain specified degree of compressed condition while locating and holding the front shock absorber by the clamping part.
CONSTITUTION: In this front shock absorber 100, a coil spring 101 is screwed 104 through an upper short 102 and an upper support 103. The absorber 100 is placed on an attachment 3 in order to assemble the coil spring 101 to the front shock absorber 100. A switch 42 actuated thereby will put a cylinder 6 into operation, and a clamp 4 locates the chucking position of the absorber 100. Then, the spring 101 is inserted to allow pawls 18, 19, 20 to take a position to hold the spring, and a certain specified compressive force is given to the spring 101 and finally the nut is set.
